Spontaneous Mini Thoughts for the Poopteenth of Mayhem

One of my favorite quotes in my Stake President's yard at Halloween is a gravestone that says:  Here lies the last dog that pooped in my yard."  I think I loved him more the day he put this out - than any other day.  I don't have a dog - but by the looks of the 'remains of the day' you would think I had a litter of gigantic dogs!  I've actually been working IN my yard and people walk by and LET their dogs stop and poop then keep walking!  One year I put up a roll of poop pouches on the light post by our house HOPING they would use them.  nope.  I've decided that my dad had the best answer.... he kept a loaded BB gun next to the door.  He was a great shot - and only shot rock salt as to not kill or maim the 'precious pet pooping'.  Last week I noticed that the usual additives were on my lawn as I went to take my garbage out.  But as I opened up the trash can - there were 8 little bags of POOP!  I WAS SO EXCITED to be a POOP COLLECTOR!  I actually loved seeing it in there and not on my lawn.  I DO know who's dog it is - and yes - I plan on putting that poop on their front step in case they are just actually stupid and forgot to pack the poop and take it with them.  Now - don't be hatin' again... I'm not a puppy hater - just a people leavin' poop hater.  I think this person has the right idea:
love it - support it - can fling it.

Thought of the day:
"Ok - can I rub the nose of the dog walker
that flings his cigarette butt on the grass in the butt?"

(not bad - said poop and butt in the same post)

Spontaneous Mini Thought for the 11th of Momz

I can still see my mother with her hair all wadded up on a beehive hair-do, then on top of that she would put a little hair piece.  When it blew off the top of the beehive - and sometimes we wouldn't tell her there were leaves and sticks in it - she would just stick it back on.  That hair piece is in the entry way of my house - along with the Princess Lea wig from Star Wars.  My thoughts of my mom right now are more than her thoughts of me.  This is a cruel world sometimes, but both of my parents have 'seen better days'.  I don't live next to my parents but the guilt trip I feel of not being there every moment like my brother and his wife have to be..... kills me on a daily basis.  I can't fix things and I'm a fixer.  I do what I can and it's far from what it should be - but I can't fix that either.  What I can do - is keep some good memories alive in me of her, alive in the things I do, and pass on to others.   I will forever be grateful that she taught me the art of making the table look amazing - even though there wasn't much to eat to put on it.  The power of a giant marigold here and there in the garden - because you had to spread the flowers out.  The smell of clean laundry hanging on the line before her neighbors put theirs up.  The caring moments of giving to others your share without them noticing.  The selfless hours of caring for others needs.  I may have failed you in many ways mom- and everyone else - but I won't fail you on the important matters of life.

Thought of the day:
One of my favorite comments I hear is,
"You're just like your mother".
That's the whole point.

I love you June Murray Hill Bowen
Please remember just that ok?

Spontaneous mini thought for May Mom's Eve 10

Yah..
it's like this..
"nomanomanoma nom anom
anonomomomoaonoma"
These are cupcakes decorated like flowers.
I liked them and then I licked them.
Kinda felt super uber special.
It's good to remember why you
went through 1/2 hour of labor
on all for kids...
Thanks Kids - without all
of you...
I would be in a whole lot of trouble.

Thought:
If I eat the little pearls,
will I grow a cupcake in my tummy?

Spontaneous Mini thoughts for the umtenth of Mayish

You know who my super heroes are?
MY KIDS - so there.
I just went to be Tony Starked at Iron Man 3 (one day I'm going to read this really old post
and will just have returned from Iron Man 18)  I called to check on the preggo with child kid that is alone right now because hubby is being amazing away in the military.  I was feeling like I really missed her and just wanted to make sure she was ok.  So - of course I called her.
On the other end of the phone I hear laughter and loud
talking and random insanity.
"Where are you Darlin?"  I asked...
"At Manda's, Kate and Ryan are coming over too
and we're just going to hang out."
So - how lucky is it to have your siblings care SO MUCH
that in their kinda sad moments in life - they
FIND EACH OTHER?
Super Hero Awesome.

Thought for the day:
Siblings - make fun of you at any length,
kill any one that hurts you.....
will paint your toenails while you sleep.

Spontaneous Mini Thoughts for Munchie 9th

Thursday nights are my menu/couponing/pulling my hair out night.  It helps that I can watch Idol Worshiping and Grey's Anatomy though.  I was actually glad that they were able to take Angie from Idol straight into Grey's ER to patch up her broken heart... A.D.D.  let's move on her folks - and we're walking - and we're walking and we're stopping.  Usually - and I say that in the rough form of the English Language, I (at this point of the night - pre-melatonin) I know what we're having for dinner each night and what items I need to buy - it's amazing how beautiful it looks until I return home from work that particular night and slam my head into the pantry door and yell,,,,"What was I thinking?"  It's now too late, too tired, and UN clever on menus so here is what I've come up with.

Sunday - not cooking - Mom's day
Monday - leftovers from Sunday
Tuesday - Missionary meetings - cereal.
Wednesday - leftovers from Tuesday
Thursday - waffles.
Friday - leftovers from Thursday.

So now you know what I'm having please feel free to join me - please bring your own plates and plastic forks as I also will not be doing dishes.  Better get busy cutting out my syrup and cereal coupons.  Oh.. hand cramp... ouch....

Thought for the day:
Ice Cream - the breakfast of champions.

Spontaneous Mini Thoughts for Minaj 8th

I know people - don't be hatin' ok?
I have found that I try to find at least one good thing about a person before I bury them.  Well, this may sound like I broke into the sugar bowl and ate it by the spoonfuls (you obviously missed my last post) - but I have some serious loving going on for this Niki Minaj.  I know, I know, I know - there is absolutely no redeeming value in this statement... but... what I have found as I have watched her talking to the contestants on the Idol Worship show is that she is genuine in her comments.  When it's good - you hear about it - and when it's not - she tells you.  Isn't that refreshing?  I've heard better comments about those singing in front of this person than I've ever heard on any season.  Don't get me wrong - she's totally on crack and there are those golden moments of cray cray - but under all of that make up, hair and gigantic 'follllllowing'  (le butt) is someone that has really got something worth saying.  I understand that we have to deal with this...
AND
these are the only pictures I could find of
her actually covering the 'girls' up
BUT
I have absolutely enjoyed watching her
and seeing what she's going to
throw at Maria Carey each week.
(add  one hot tub full of mud)

Thought of the day:
"Hey Dawg, I think she's in it to win it"

Spontanious Mini Thought for the Hungry Days of May. Entry 3/7/2013

Please... stop yourself.... do not be fooled by the yummie look of this contraption.... it's fake - well, actually it's real, just really really horrid tasting.  HOW could something so minty beautiful taste like alfalfa?  Husband and I went through a detox a bit ago and now we are on a maintenance plan.  We kicked out the cokes, (what were we thinking... summer is coming and a cold dollar coke... on ice.... and  WHOA.. slow down) and all of the basic crud we willingly put into our bodies.  Now please don't get me wrong - we're not health freaks or super sturdy choice makers - but we now are officially trained in the counting of just how many almonds we can eat, how to cut a taco chip in half, and relish (wait we can't have relish) the sound of a whirling blender hiding the taste of spinach and cucumbers.  We actually feel better.  It's not really about what we are eating (basically those same things that Popeye ate to get those sexy arms) but that we have control over what we are eating.  If you know our personalities - it's TOTALLY about the control because we are freaking control freaks and we are IN CONTROL...... oh my - I may need a banana or something to calm those thoughts... never the less (I put that word in for you Mandy), I actually found my hip bone the other day.  It was frightening - I thought I had actually lost it, but there it was - bless it's little calcium heart.  So if you come to my house to eat, it may look and taste like cardboard, and that's because - it probably is.  Here's to the murdered raspberries, blueberries, coconuts, kale, spinach, almonds, flax contraptions, celery, probiotics, unmentionables, vodka (not - just seeing if you're paying attention) almond milk, and ice we've consumed.  Maybe I'll find my chin one day soon!  Until then - I'll be watching a video on how to do a kip and saying, "ya - like I could ever fling this body that high".

Thought of the day:
Water - it's just actually plain boring.
Put a fish in it for protein.
