Girl Sammie on Wheat

I'm looking at these two and I cannot believe that they are mine. Well, they act like me, laugh like me, have a warped sense of humor like me, and basically drive a car like me. But their individualism is so unique that I think I'll spend a spot of time on them. There are the obvious differences, height, hair and other endowments.... It has never mattered much to me of what they would accomplish in life - we all have our wonderful kid moments of which I am blessed to have witnessed. I found it more important to see what was inside of them - because it mattered more to me. Obviously God sent them as beautiful as can be - genetically they are destine to be crazy, and physically they are strong and healthy. Those things change over time - but their kindness, loyalty to their beliefs, random acts of kindness, ability to see joy in the storms of life, and moments of brilliance brought on by efforts only they can make - are what make them beautiful - inside, where it matters the most. When they both walk into a room - the sun starts shining... Never underestimate my love for you. Be kind to yourselves, generations of family look at you and believe that you represent them well. Each accomplishment is humble and soon set aside for greater goals. You have taught me lessons in life that I cherish more than life itself. Last but not least, please know that no matter where you are, no matter what you are doing, if you run out of blinker juice, call me. I love you...

Is that Chocolate or....

poo?

mmmmm...Chocolate.... (:

Cover his fingers with Chocolate and
then you'll know which door he's opened
and run out of!

(I watched all of the you tube videos on 9/11
and decided to be grateful for the beautiful
moments of life, for it is much too short...)
I love this child, and chocolate!

Can you believe what some people say?

...and get away with it? I'm amazed that in one week's time I have heard the following lines that if heard out in the world people would wonder if we needed medication or something. But to our family we each will giggle as we hear these and recall the conversations that actually occurred and were clearly enunciated during each verbal encounter. The world needs all kinds - but then again, someone needs to snuff out the weak and disabling... and that in itself is funny as I know my kids and in-law kids know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.... Hope you're up for these top ten conversation drops... I've never been known for biting my tongue for long.

10. What lane are you actually in?
9. It's kinda like, soup, really hot freakin' iguana soup...
8. Can o'nast... & Funsucker in the same sentence
7. Mouse Slayer shall be the name of my Rock Band
6.5 Are those sirens really right outside our house?
6. "This one's for you.... flash ...." (dream on baby)
5. YOU call your mom, no YOU call your mom....
4.5 We'll make Matt call her....
4. "Can you put this in a pony tail?"
3.5 Words... I know big words to things....
3.25 You wore your cleavage shirt? And it passed?
3. So, an hour and a half before is probably not a good time...
2.5 He shaved it all of except for a Y on his chest? That's gonna itch...
2.25 My muffin top must go, and also this wiry hair on my chin...
2. Did the drunken Indians win the Shambattle again?

and last, but certainly not least. (because I know that my kids will not let me down by commenting on several more....) (:

1. "Lame" (Timeless - and caught on video)(you were right kiddo) (U know I know)

Gorsh your MILF thinks your old...

This is one of my favorite pictures of Michael.
It was taken back when he was stalking
my teenage daughter online from Iraq (:
So - it's Mike's birthday today - he's old, but
never-the-less absolutely hotata and intensely
easy on the eyes (and dang it he always smells
good too!). Most of all - he loves my beautiful
daughter Ashley. Never has she ever been treated less
than perfect, as Mike is a total gentleman to her in every
way. We welcomed Mike into our family after we all
fell in love with him - we have a great respect for
what he does in serving our country - he's fearless.
We respect him because he is always giving to our
family his time and his laughter. I personally
respect him, because he's always treated me
like another mother, and I know I am always watched
over when he is around. If I'm having a bad day -
flowers show up or they are personally delivered
by him to me. He always flashes me that smile.
If it's a REALLY bad day, he will actually go
to a chick flick with me and never complain.
At 6'4", we always respect him regardless, but also
because he can seriously, walk tall and carry
a big gun without an ego trip, ok well most of the time (:
So - Happy Birthday Mikol Doxstada,
your contribution to our family is far beyond what
we ever dreamed of. Your kindness, tenderness,
courage and massive toughguyness makes everyone
you meet love you, and respect you.
Have a happy day - and I would like twins...
Love ya! Love, Bob

Happy Anniversary Matt & Bethany!

Wanna marry me?
Yep!

Matt was home from his mission to Taiwan for about 5 minutes and I believe he proposed right then and there at the airport! Ok - so he waited to ask Bethany's dad first - which was about 6 minutes after he landed... Bethany is the daughter in law that everyone dreams of having - and we drew the lucky straw and welcomed her into our family 4 years ago legally, but we fell in love with her many years before that. Matt and Bethany had worked in Special Needs Mutual together and Matt's heart was smitten. Bethany attended BYU while Matt served his mission - after a botched April Fool's Day joke - with a fake wedding announcement picturing her and a total dork she worked with came in the mail - we realized how horrible it would be to ever lose her! Del and I wanted to marry her just to keep her from anyone getting her!! (: Matt's prayers were answered as he found out that she actually wanted to marry him too! (Whew) Mike and Ashley were married a month earlier, and then Matt and Bethany - we gave 50% of our children away to their sweethearts within a months time! (not that we were complaining - I mean look at how beautiful they are!!)

They always regarded themselves as Royalty,
and they treated each other as such. I have
always admired their mutual love and respect
that they always show for each other.
Matt knew how special Bethany was to her
Mom and Dad and never wanted to ever
do anything to ever let them down regarding
their beautiful daughter. Bethany took
Matt and softened his rough edges and gave him
a reason to love and live life to it's fullest.
Their compromises have been rough - Bethany had
to learn to throw a roll across the table at dinner, and
Matt had to learn when it was time to stop playing WII.
They are doing very well at both goals....
As a couple they have dedicated themselves to
working hard to make the world a better place,
having fun, seeing the beautiful world around them,
playing 21 questions when forced to stand in any line...,
graduate with their Master Degrees from BYU
and recently their jobs have taken them on an
adventure into uncharted territories.

We gained another family to love - The Stimpson Family.
Bethany's mom and I have always seen eye to eye,
mostly because we both look at Matt and have to close
at least one of our eyes! (We actually both love Matt very much!)
Mark and Del are great dads to their kids and
Matt enjoys being the 2nd Alpha Male in the family
of 3 beautiful sisters and a Morydog.

Our family grew in love and numbers also!
Mandy, Mike & Ashley, Bethany & Matt,
Old Lady, Older Man, and Ryan
Matt and Bethany always have a plan.
They work hard at being a family, and sharing their
family with their extended family. Their life long
plan... to live happily ever after... and they are
off to a great start.
Congratulations on 4 amazing years
of true love and dedication.
We all love you so much!
Here's the first edition of their sweet plan.
Our Grandson - Andy!

What's in YOUR lunch?

Ok kids, you have your backpacks all ready? Sack Lunches packed? Money for PTA and School Pictures? Pencils, books, post-it notes? Great - now set out your new jeans and tee shirts, fresh undies and stuff. Great.... wait.... 1/2 my kid are in college the other half are working in wonderful jobs because they graduated from college.... gosh I miss the smell of new pencils. Ashley - enjoy that $3,000.00 class from the U, dang those masters programs are expensive (; but you DO have those killer shoes to wear. Mandy, please be patient with yourself with 20 credits, work, and practice - be very kind to yourself, and breathe. Ryan - you have a big heart, and big shoes, you fill them well, continue to ace all of your classes and when you pick a law school, I like the box next to BYU Law. Mike is back to work at home now (whew) - and there's a steak sammie in his sack lunch. Matt will probably be eating in the cafeteria in Seattle, and Bethany and Andy will be packing their lunch for the picket line - as her school district strikes... not so fun! (probably will include some fish shaped crackers!!) Elder Hillary also packs his lunch - the little sweet Spanish ladies in his area taught him about some great things to pack - most of which I can't pronounce. Del takes soup and crackers. I'm usually taking my lunch at 8 am as I start work long before all the little school kiddies even get out of bed, always a BP&J sammie washed down with a Rock Star that will wipe out my kidneys soon. Hey - SO - Everyone enjoy your lunches today! Don't forget to floss after! ....wait...I smell pencils.... and there you go....
