My kids are terrified that I'll post

Well, most adults are to have a colonoscopy at 50,
I didn't follow that rule and just barely had one at 52.
My friend (name dropper) is Kendyl Bell (name dropper)
she's a friend and my Zumba instructor (name dropper)
also Miss Utah USA (name dropper)
.
She posted about the day her brother found out
he had colon cancer because of a colonoscopy,
he's in his 20's. Too young. But caught it
IN TIME - isn't that what it's all about?
It was heartbreaking for her and I spent
a bit of time talking with her about it.
She encouraged me to get one and so I made
that appointment.
It was seriously a worry - because there are
NO SYMPTOMS to colon cancer.
I always read the Billboard about
DOUG MILLER
dying of it because he just never went in.
Didn't want to be on a Billboard
The prep was the
GAGGIEST THING EVER.
My pharmacist encouraged me to just
'bottoms up' on the liquid prep
(well - she thought that was funny)
but it proved to be the best way to deal
with drinking all of that goo.
(I chose a lovely Citrus Berry flavor)
Then I made sure there were some great
movies to watch in my 'office' (bathroom)
and I made the best of an uncomfortable
situation (the situation of death).
I loved my doctor - my 'Buttdoc' I called her...
She is from India - and she is SO FUNNY -
she's heard ALLLLLLL of the jokes....
So in her honor I will post my Facebook Funnies
later in this post.

The procedure only took 20 minutes.
My colon is a beautiful thing,
and is 100% happy and cancer free.
(Whew)
Also - it was free,
yep - who might want to know
something for FREE??
ME!
(Most insurances cover the screen 100%)
Needless to say - hope you all
are able to get one scheduled if you need to.
